Challenge yourself
First of all our bikers will be met and welcomed at the airport. The initial briefing will be given during transportation to the hotel, in the city of Messina. Over here the bikes and accessories will be delivered, set to up to perfection and ready to depart on the next day for our Expert Level Sicily BikeTour.

The date of final pick up for the departure should be agreed with Cycling Sicily in advance and could not match with the day of bikes’ drop off after the tour. Our guests are welcomed to benefit from our transport services to travel in Sicily in an alternative way.
All our tours may vary depending on the weather conditions and participants’ physical conditions.
DAY 1 - Along the Ionian Sea to Taormina.
Your Expert Level Bike Tour of Sicily begins! You will depart from the city of Messina, the third largest city of Sicily for territorial size and density of the population. Head on to Taormina, certainly a place of great historical-cultural interest.
It is of Greek origin but conquered and dominated by many populations like Arabs, Normans, Spanish, etc..
The route will be along the Ionian coast passing through several points of interest in between like Capo d’Alì, the promenade of Santa Teresa di Riva, Capo Sant’Alessio and the maritime area of Taormina, called Mazzarò. Finally, we reach today’s goal – Capo Taormina.
Refreshments will be provided at points during the journey. The time for the pick-up of the baggage will be agreed between Cycling Sicily and the bikers day by day and will be delivered directly to the room in the next hotel before the arrival of the bikers.
DAY 2 - Heading Catania
On the second day of our Expert Level Bike Tour we travel from Taormina to Catania, the second largest city in Sicily.
It is completely built in black lava stone and styled in Sicilian Baroque.
To achieve our goal of the day we will continue following the Ionian coast road crossing maritime villages of considerable importance like Torre Archirafi, Acicastello and Acitrezza.
All constructed entirely of black lava stone, some of which are featured in the novels of famous Sicilian writers. Refreshment will be provided at points during the journey.

DAY 3 - Syracuse and Ortigia
On the third day of our Expert Level Bike Tour we move from Catania to Syracuse, the fourth largest city of Sicily.
Indeed, a place of great artistic interest that ranges from Baroque to Art Nouveau, passing from the ancient Greek and Roman dominations to those of the more modern Spanish and Norman. Above all, here the beautiful island of Ortigia is located. We will definitely visit it during the evening at the end of the ride.
Our ride today will take us across points equally interesting such as Costa Saracena near Augusta and coastal Brucoli. Refreshment will be provided at points during the journey.

DAY 4 - Towards extreme South
On the fourth day of our Expert Level Bike Tour, we cross the rest of the eastern coast down to the extreme southern part called Porto Palo di Capo Passero.
To reach this extraordinary location, we pass through points of historical and naturalistic interest such as The Reserve of Plemmiro, Fontane Bianche, Avola Antica, the beaches of Noto, the village Marzamemi and its tuna fishery until we reach our destination. Certainly, this will be one of the most unforgettable days of your adventure, full of exciting and picturesque places that will remain in your hearts long after.

DAY 5 - The Mediterranean Coast and UNESCO Sites
The fifth day of our adventurous Expert Level Bike Tour takes us from the Ionian shore to one on the Mediterranean coast.
Then moving from Porto Palo di Capo Passero to Scicli, a monumental baroque city that since 2002 has been listed as a world heritage site by UNESCO.
Along the way we will encounter both places of uncontaminated nature as Santa Maria del Focallo to places of great tourist interest like Pozzallo and Marina di Ragusa.

DAY 6 - Ragusa, Modica and Sicilian Hinterland
The sixth and last day of our Expert Level Bike Tour. We will move this time from the Baroque city par excellence with your departure from Scicli via Ragusa to finish our tour in Modica – the city of chocolate made with an antique cold extraction method.
Unlike the other days, we will abandon the coastal areas to explore the Sicilian hinterland. Here in contrast to what we saw before, we will meet a change in the surrounding landscape and the vegetation.
Barns and olive trees will take the place of beaches, palms and eucalyptus. The time for the pick-up of bikers and luggage on the day of departure must be agreed between Cycling Sicily and the bikers in advance.
