CYCLING IN SICILY AND THE MOUNT ETNA CLIMB
Six stages to be enjoyed by road bike, and to be traveled all in one go.
From Ragalna to Piano Vetore, or arriving at Rifugio Sapienza from Pedara, Nicolosi and Zafferana, whether you want to climb the mountain from Fornazzo towards the Citelli Refuge or arrive at Piano Provenzana from Linguaglossa.
The routes proposed in these pages will alternate between gentle inclines and some climbs with sometimes significant slopes, cutting now through the raw black lava flows of eruptions, volcanic rocks, fresh chestnut woods or even fairytale conifer woods.
This is an ideal way to discover the volcano by bike, challenging Etna along the biking routes traveled by the greatest cycling champions, to whom the routes are dedicated.
